Erika,
MS has a desktop version of SQL7 Server that runs on Win98. It's a lot different than 
Access. The book: Inside SQL Server 7.0 by Ron Soukup & Kalen Delaney has a full 
version 120
trial. The book will teach you all about SQL7 Server.
