You can do this by sending a multipart Mime message. The CFX_imsmail custom tags makes this really easy. You just pass an htmlbody and a textbody and the tag will build the mime boundaries and send the mail.
You need the mailserver component aswell though, but it's well worth the cost. See it at www.coolfusion.com. And no, I do not work for them, but I think there software is great and it sounds like just what you need.
