No offense, but I know people that will complain even when they've done a version 2 jump. If not now, when? It will _never_ be convienent, no matter when -- even in big red bold letters on Macromedia's homepage warning of a tag depreciation, people will complain that either they didn't see the warning (even if there was a <blink> tag, people would miss it - heck, I know there's a boatload of people in the forums that don't even keep tabs on the macromedia site for the latest news).
I'm sure whatever technical reasons that the attribute was removed was for a good reason and... if you want that feature back, then, I suggest heading on over to the wishlist and requesting it back. ~Todd p.s.
