When I started working here. They were using an Access database to
handle a very high traffic intranet application. I was amazed Access
was holding up so well.

I would recommend Compacting and repairing the database every once and a
while.

Also there is a script that you can run to re-start the CF service every
night at 2am that helps with Access databases and memory issues. Cycle
the ColdFusion services each night using the \cfusion\bin\cycle.bat
file.

Subject: CF and Access

I am making a quick site that will allow users to register and make
football
picks each week. It has an admin section that will allow all the
necessary data
be input. I am using an Access DB for this site. If I expect 100-200
users,
can the Access DB handle this? Do I need to use CFLOCK around all
queries?

Thanks for your help!
