Doing this IS possible, but you cannot be running CF as "local system". You
will have to run it as a user (possibly a domain user) with permissions to
the share. Use the services control panel to change how the service is
configured.

Subject: Running CFM files from a share (IIS)

We've set up IIS to point a virtual directory to a
share on another computer. It displays HTML pages
and ASP pages, but when we try CF we get the "404
Object Not Found" error from CF.

We're using CF5. We have MX, just haven't
installed it yet. Windows 2000 on both machines.

Anyone know if what we're trying to do is possible?

Thanks

Patrick
