I guess we have something along those lines... we have a few thousand CFCs 
so far and we've mostly structured our naming by directories that 
represent application areas (content, exchange, store, membership etc). 
Where we have explicit facades, we tend to call them blahblahfacade.cfc 
and where we have web services, we tend to call them blahblahservice.cfc 
but, to be honest, we're more concerned with readable names than any 
specific naming convention. The only hard and fast rule is "all lower case"
  because we're on Unix.
