I wouldn't use currency signs at all, format everythign in decimals and use
letter for currency,

GBP, USD etc etc

When all the bugs are out of it, I may. I certainly can't expect 
people to upgrade to CFMX just to buy my shopping cart though. It's a 
pain putting hacks into your code to make things work as expected. Is 
it asking too much that the program work as it's supposed to?
