Man... Now I wish I knew where to find this other article... or was it a
public radio presentation? ... It was an organized collection of incidences
of the media presenting as fact incorrect assumptions they had made early in
the aftermath of Sept. 11. In any event, yea, media making assumptions and
presenting them as though they are carved in stone facts is a big problem...
especially to a video dominated culture which ( as opposed to a print
dominated culture ) does not promote debate.
