I'd look outside of CF for the solution here. Check with folks that build Calendar-based apps. For instance, the guy who wrote "ReDo" for the Palm PDA has some very sophisticated recurring date algorithms. PDA app developers would be especially helpful since the size of the data has to be as small as possible.
