This was a HUGE help to me to find this technote. We had a couple of sites that had virtual hostnames (i.e. staff.somedomain.com and orders.somedomain.com) where when you logged into one site, you would see files from the other site. This was a new bug to us in CFMX, and it was a headache. We changed the default setting as per the technote, and it fixed it.
You can also set cacheRealPath=false in your application.cfm, and it will fix it as well. Cheers.
