Here's a weird request I just got. Is this sort of thing possible?
1. Set a "last time visited" date-value cookie when somebody comes to your site. 2. The next time they visit, a script would parse all the html/cfm files in a directory, and come up with a list of those "newer" than the cookie, which could then display a list of "New Stuff" files that particular person has never seen before. Site in question is static - no database files that I could date-mark. 3. A script that could parse all the links on a page, and if one of them linked to one of the "newer" files from #2, display a JavaScript tooltip message or graphic that said "It's New and Improved". Thoughts? If seems possible, point me in the right direction... ______________________________________________________________________ Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
