I have an application in development where client variables are stored in the application database
with this configuration: Windows 2000 Server + ColdFusion 5 Windows NT 4 + MS SQL Server 7 Every several days we run into a problem where we are unable to log in to the application. The login script sets a client variable, then relocates to a members-only area and it appears as tho CF Server is simply unable to determine the value of the client variable after the relocation. If I delete all records from the CDATA and CGLOBAL tables in the database, everything works fine ... for a few more days until the same problem recurs... I don't see any errors occurring in the application log ( I didn't expect to, but you never know )... I've also installed the hotfix for CF5 not purging client variables from a db located at http://www.macromedia.com/v1/Handlers/index.cfm?ID=22730&Method=Full Though this doesn't seem to have had any effect. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
