*AHEM* that's postal codes to you Yank ;-) AFAIK as long as you have lat/lon values to work with the calculations are the same. So any distance calculating custom tag or UDF that uses lat/lon values as input will do the trick. All you will have to do is calulated miles to kilometres (1.6 km in 1 mile)
