studio 5. i switched to dwmx and felt as though i had made a huge step backward, and even had nightmares of having to switch back to HotDogPro. its funny, i was hoping for this great revelation, i installed it, and was just utterly disappointed...i really was.
the biggest pain i thought was, that i didnt get the funtionality in non-wysiwyg mode, as i really wanted. i mean, the bitch and pain of handcoding the height and width of an image tag, for every image, especially on a really slick interface that uses many cut up images, tables and what-have-you...it just became a klunky step back...im sure it has its merits, but ill use studio 5 until carpal tunnel sets in, then im done and on to my passion, GOLF!!! adios. tw -----Original Message----- From: Phillip Perry [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 8:36 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Dreamweaver MX opinions (CF Studio opinions?) Thanks for the replys. Now my question is, I have an opportunity to go to CF Studio 5.0. What are your opinions here? -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Sorge [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 8:24 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Dreamweaver MX opinions I started using DWMX as soon as it came out and I still have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, setting up a site is much easier that it was and, from what I have experienced so far it is pretty reliable. I like the fact that I can work in code view, then in a pinch switch to WYSIWYG or partial WYSIWYG mode. The design time CSS feature is great, and the database integration is pretty cool as well. The WebServices integration is really great as well. I could go on and on, but to the dislikes. It is pretty slow unless you are on a fast machine. I am using it on a Dell Inspiron P4 1.6 GHz, 512MB RAM and it is pretty fast. Also, if you forget to uncheck the Auto Refresh on your remote and testing server environment in the site creation, and you have a large site, then saving files is painfully slow. I still have CF5.0 and on occasion I use it to do some quick hit and run code, but I think that I will like DWMX as time goes on. -----Original Message----- From: Phillip Perry [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 5:08 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Dreamweaver MX opinions Hi, I'm evaluating Dreamweaver MX and would like to know people's opinion of this program. From what I could gather this replaces CF Studio. Is this correct? What are your overall likes/dislikes of the program?
