To answer the request of a reader, I tried installing CFMX J2EE Linux,
And JRun 4 Linux on Mac OS X -- to see if these wold install without a
port.
CFMX J2EE uses the same installer (thanks, Jesse) as CFMX -- the
installer launches, then aborts on Darwin (Mac OS X), an unsupported
platform.
JRun installer launches and does not abort, but crashes when you enter
0 as a license code (guided by prompt).
I have successfully installed JRun 4 on Mac OS X in the past, so I
figured that this was an installer bug.
This reader asked a follow-up question
"Will CFMX J2EE run with JBoss?"
I found the JBoss site at:
http://www.jboss.org/
It looks pretty interesting.
Does anyone have any information about, or experience with JBoss and
CFMX J2EE?
TIA
Dick
P.S. The reader commented:
"I never thought I'd be using CF natively on a Mac. This is truly
amazing....."
