DE is the only way to get stright text out of an IIF(), so I don't see how
you can avoid it if you want to use them.
The only other solution is to set a variable to the text you want, then put
the variable name into the IIF() - but that's a lot uglier
BTW, IIF runs approx 2.2 times slower than IF, so, if it's speed you want,
then avoid IIF anyways
