CF MX does support Apache 2. It also supports Apache 1.3.x, but there are apparently some problems with using 1.3 and CF MX on Linux, from what I've heard. Also, on Windows, Apache 2 is supposed to be significantly better than 1.3.x. It's unfortunate, though, that every point release is breaking the JRun connector.
