#CGI.REMOTE_ADDR# will give you the users IP address. 

I guess you already know that, if the user is going through a provider like
AOL, or coming off a network behind a router, you get the IP for that
service and not the user's IP on their host network.

relatively easy to capture a user's IP address, for example, when they
are submitting a form.
