Oh duh... ummm... hmmm... that's odd -- I thought it would allow you to install the "Client Access Tools" (client connectivity, query analyzer, enterprise manager) -- on Win98 you may need to use the SQL 7 client access tools... I know the server portion will only install on Win2K or later... I didn't realize but I think the same may be true for the client tools.
