I currently use BigIP and I have not had any issues with it. The load-balanced web servers that is developed with ColdFusion is not using Sticky Sessions. Other servers are using sticky sessions. You may watch the cookies as they come back to your browser that are set for the sticky sessions.
I don't know what you are doing within your app where you need sticky sessions but I would suggest to change you app so that you don't need to use sticky sessions.
