Apparantly the ciper is known, and the key can be easily reverse engineered. Best use revolving keys with it if you're concerned about security.
However there are some really good encryption ciphers available from the developers exchange. Stuff like RC4, Sha256, MD5, Ripemd160, rot13 are all available as functions.
