I've bought quite a few certs from Rackshack. They just provide a way
to auto-fill the Geotrust signup forms. Basically they're a high-volume
reseller. I abandoned my Geotrust reseller relationship, since little
me could only get an $85 price. For awhile Rackshack had a special for
$29. Hopefully it will return.

http://instantssl.com is a $49 newcomer that offers a reported 99%
compatibility vs. Geotrust's 90%. Appears to be about right based on my
own stats. However I haven't had a bare IE 5 unit handy to test what
happens when you try to use a Geotrust cert on raw IE5. No customer
complaints, tho'.

I called and spoke with an InstantSSL rep. Since they take the time to
verify the organization their name isn't quite accurate. Typical cert
issuance time is 2 days, with rush jobs possible in one.

These guys are fantastic. A variety of different certs to suit your
needs plus excellent customer service and fast turnaround (they have one
that's $119 and emailed to you within a few minutes).
