I believe in this context they were speaking primarily about J2EE servers like JRun, WebSphere and New Atlanta's J2EE server that I can't remember the name of right now ... There are a lot more of them -- those are the 3 that spring to my mind immediately. Interoperability with .NET I believe is referring to consuming web services.
