Are you running CFMX or some other version of CF?

You can use the Windows Resource Kit tool called rcontrol (I believe it
is) as a service to receive commands from other boxes. Take a look a
the Resource Kit toolchest to find the name of the tool.. But I'm sure
you can do it from there.

Hope this helps...

| Subject: cfexecute and restarting CF-Service remotely
|
|
| Hi list,
| I want to restart CF on box A from
| box B using CF everytime the service crashes on box A. I
| tried it with cfexecute, running a mapped drive K on box B
| with the following: <CFEXECUTE
| NAME="K:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe"
| ARGUMENTS="K:\cfusion\bin\cycle_new.bat" Timeout="120"> </CFEXECUTE>
|
| In cycle_new.bat I have:
| @ECHO ON
| net stop "Cold Fusion Application Server"
| net start "Cold Fusion Application Server"
| @ECHO OFF
| PAUSE
|
| But it is not working due to a cfexecute problem.
| Do you know, if there is another way to do this ?
|
| Thanks.
|
| Uwe
