Yea, cfObjects is a methodology ( like FuseBox ) for getting OO programming features ( unlike FuseBox ) in CF prior to MX. Odds are what you're looking at it actually a cms or sms designed by someone using cfObjects rather than just cfObjects tailored by your client. I'd also check out http://www.nqcontent.com and see if there are any similarities there to what you're looking at.
Tapestry has some OO features prior to MX as well, but its implementation of OO "stuff" is much simpler and more db-centric ( which may sound a little wierd with regard to an OO implementation ) as opposed to cfObjects which afaik doesn't really have any db considerations. As to why they encrypted the core tags, I wouldn't have a clue -- I suspect that's not the doings of the folks who developed cfObjects but rather the doings of the folks who designed the cms / sms you're looking at. > Isaac, > Thanks, I think that's it!
