Mike, it is really unfortunate that this email did not precede the "SOT It's
a sad day". Vernon did a sterling job in the eyes of many on this list,
including me, hopefully he will prosper just as I did as a result of my time
with Allaire-MM. I am sure you realize this anyhow, but it is very
important that a continuity of the excellent contact that MM has built up
with the CF community be maintained and if possible improved IMHO.

Kind Regards - Mike Brunt, CTO

Subject: Community Relations Organizational Changes

I sent this out earlier but it didn't seem to come through to the list
(it made it to the archives)...

Macromedia is continuously looking to improve its relationship with the
ColdFusion community. As part of this process, from time to time we need
to make changes within our organization in order to be able to maintain
and increase our current levels of support of the community.

As you know, Vernon Viehe has worked as community manager during one of
the most aggressive releases of ColdFusion. Vernon is no longer with
Macromedia and we wish to thank him for all of his hard work and wish
him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

We will be providing more information on a new, enhanced community
manager position in the very near future. This is first of a number of
steps that we are taking which will allow us to be more responsive to
and aggressive within the ColdFusion community. We will send out
additional details about this new position very soon.

We are looking forward to working even closer with the community, and
are excited about the opportunities that lay ahead. If you have any
comments, questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me
directly...
