As a general note, this is the 'hand-out' from a presentation that Chris Graves ( of RapidCF ) gave at a Connecticut CFUG meeting. back when Connecticut still had CFUGs. The presentation was on, of course, CFScript.
Chris knows his stuff, but last I heard he was off doing Java-oriented stuff these days.
