you would think the first place you would search for a technote for a
Macromedia product would be www.macromedia.com

Subject: OT: CF Studio 4.5 install error

Hey Everyone,

I just got a brand spankin' new Dell workstation at the office, running W2K
SP3.
I keep getting an error when trying to install CF Studio 4.5 on it:

'An error occured during the move data process: -106.'

I Googled for it and found a MM Technote:

http://www.macromedia.com/v1/handlers/index.cfm?ID=1670&Method=Full

The technote suggested creating a new c:\temp directory because the old one
might
be pointing to a corrupt sector of the hard disk. For some odd reason, my
workstation didn't have a c:\temp directory. I tried creating it and
re-installing, but I'm still getting the same error.

Has anyone else experienced this problem / found a workaround? It's rather
irritating to get a new system and not be able to install my most important
development tool...
