I had the same problem described below. When I installed the updater, I
pointed it to my cfide on my R: drive which was wrong.  I kept getting
application page errors.  After trial and error,  I browsed to the cfide
directory that was still on my C: drive under the inetpub\wwwroot
directory.

Even though you have IIS setup on some other drive, the CFIDE will still
be under your c:\inetput directory (and working off that one, it seems).
Once I changed the path, everything worked fine.

Make sure your permissions allow writing files to the CFIDE directory 
when installing the update. Sometimes it seems to just leave the 
original file if it can't overwrite the older ones. Then stop cfmx, 
clear the cfclasses directory, start cfmx and try again.
