Not a free solution, but ActivePDF will do quite a few interesting things with PDF files and can be used via CF.

Even though we are trying to be paperless, people here still like to have a printable and readable copy of what they requested so to have proof in case of questions. We generate these reports based on queries, so I never exactly know what is going to need to be produced. These would be more complex as they require a header, footers, page numbers and proper page breaks and also need to be printed in landscape format. I have tried Crystal but it just does not seem to work correctly. If you have any links to what you mentioned below that would be great so that I could start researching.
