The two-year subscription is a really good deal for you, in terms of both price and convenience. During your subscription period you are automatically sent media and documentation for every major upgrade that is offered to the public, and if your subscribed product is end-of-lifed during your subscription then you are also sent the product that replaces it in their software evolution vector. We have a two-year subscription to a ten-pack of ColdFusion Studio 4.5, and we received both the Studio V5 and Dreamweaver MX upgrades as they became available. I highly recommend you spend the few extra dollars for the protection offered by the subscription.
