I've always worked someplace that had at least one Mac somewhere with
up-to-date browser software to make sure the pages looked good on IE/NS.  Of
course, I've always worked on everyday-user web applications instead over
corporate packages where you can generally guarantee Windows Whatever and
IE.

It's been a lifesaver more than once, and allows reasonably authoritative
platform-specific FAQ's as well.
