A client, in request for a formula to make some required calculations, has passed off an Excel spreadsheet to me instead..
"Here, this does it, just get the formula from that..." I've looked at it, and well, damn.....attempting to trace every single cell through the worksheet, figure out exactly what it's doing in relation to the others and come up with a formula that does the same thing in Cold Fusion is something that was NOT in the original bid. Sheesh... So I was wondering....would it be possible, through a DNS connection, to directly use the Excel sheet to make the required calculation and then pull the result to display in the required position on the site? Not that I'm lazy, but why reinvent the wheel if you can use the tool handed you. Can someone point me in a direction of research to figure this out.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Your ad could be here.
