Matthew is right on the ball.

You just have to have an entry (start and end date) for each time span. Then -- note 
his note about "distinct" -- you'll either have to pull back all records for, say boat 
A, during a given time span and print them all out, or use the CFOUTPUT GROUPBY tool 
to make life easier. It's just a question of 1) How the user gets to select boat times 
(just a list, pull-down to limit dates and so on) and 2) How to display the results so 
it is clearest and most intelligent for the average user.
