This is an interesting anecdote from my life. I walked into a job interview and the tech guy walked in and threw down a book (Either Flash MX: Complete Reference or Flash MX: Developer's Guide) on the table and said "I have a bone to pick with your publisher." He said it didn't cover enough MX features. I can't make other comments on the book, since I never read it.
