I typically use CF_SQL_TIMESTAMP or I use CF_SQL_VARCHAR and create the
datetime string myself ('mm-dd-yyyy HH:MM:SS').  Either will work, but
CF_SQL_DATE definitely does not work with the Merant JDBC drivers.  This
is on SQL 2000.  I haven't tested it with the Microsoft JDBC drivers
though.  Perhaps they will handle it better?

Yes, I have. I have not found a solution, but here is the setup.

If one has a datetime column in sql 7.0 and use <cfqueryparam> with a
date type CF returns something to the affect of the chosen option
requires a non default setup of sql 7. I have not tried it yet on 2000
