IIRC, the problem is with the dash in border-left -- Javascript wants to
subtract it.
I know there's a way to reference that using syntax similar to
getElementById() but I don't remember the function name off-hand. It should
be in any good DHTML reference. There also might be a JS-friendly version
of the name like borderLeft or something (for example, z-index becomes
zIndex).
