I have written a spell checker based on GNU Aspell that I'll going to be releasing under the GPL. It's not quite ready yet, but very close. I've been using it internally for about 2 months now without major problems, and I'll probably have a public release ready this week.
It requires aspell on the server, and runs through a Java middle tier, so it'll run on cf4.5+. If anyone's interested on getting the release, email me off list and I'll shoot you an email when it's available. barneyb Matt Robertson writes: > This one should work.
