I do this all the time, though in a developer environment.

   CFMX Standalone with Default JRun  Web Server (port 8500)

   CFMX for J2EE JRun with Apache Web Server (port 8101 -- not required 
in URL)

I periodically run additional CFMX for J2EE JRun server instances using 
the JRun Default web server. (ports 8102....)

I second Dave's recommendation to try the CFMX Foe J2EE and JRun combo. 
  It gives you a lot more flexibility than the Standalone server.
