It shouldn't be, but that would depend on issues like deadlines, delayed delivery fines etc. There might be valid reasons not to use a pure Java driver, but it might also be a leftover from a previous CF. And considering that even Macromedia does not recommend using ODBC-JDBC bridges, I am just asking why ODBC is used.
