You know I never really use Opera (nothing other then Netscape or IE really), however you have to ask yourself this. While being compliant is a VERY GOOD THING, you must also look at the realistic side of this. If this is the case (testing a site for every single possible browser) then when do you stop testing?
There are literally hundreds of browsers in the market (one not mentioned here yet, that is also used a lot is the WebTV browser.) While A few always come to mind quickly, there are many browsers out there (some text based, some phone/WAP based, some based on Mosaic, etc. etc.......) that don't, so people that choose to use those are not important because they're not using the main three (IE, Netscape, or Opera)? So in truth, you have to ask yourself, what is the major target audience (the largest amount of users) using. Then develop for those users, because in truth there are so many browsers, that if you catered your site to work in ALL environments, you couldn't do it (I'm willing to bet even the regulation sites like w3.org don't work in ALL browsers). So, the basic point is that Macromedia launched a new site, with a lot of new things/features and while some people have problems right now, it wont be for long.
