You're referring to a Cold Fusion Server Mapping?  That can maybe doable.
Again, it's something that would have to be done by my host provider, but
only once.  Much better then using the Custom Tag directory where I would go
to them every time I made a change.

You can place them within a folder reachable by a mapping. I'd suggest
using mappings anyway, since it will also help you call your custom tags
on a shared server.
