The nicest thing is getting a quick listing of all CF datasources on the machine and being able to see field names, and perform queries. Makes writing big SQL statements much easier. At least in Studio...not sure how DW uses RDS. If you need to hop around and edit a lot of sites and are not on the same network as the web servers. There are many ways to make it secure if you want to run it on a production server even.
