Again, I don't see the problem. If I download the latest servicepack for 
IE from the internet it goes through a HTTP proxy that scans it. If I 
download a Flash application from the internet, it goes through a HTTP 
proxy that scans it.

You are comparing the download of an application (Flash) with the 
download of data (email).
