| How much information is actually on the DL card? | Is only the printed information(name, address, etc.) available from the strip? | Everything on the face of the card is in the magnetic strip. and for the states that require a thumbprint, it includes the hexidecimal code for the thumbprint. None of the data is encrypted, but you would need to know the format to capture it - not a difficult problem at all. On credit cards, the stripe contains the card #, security code, name, expiration date, and pin number - none of wich is encrypted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
