Hmm, I'm no expert on IE but I know that you can, somehow, persuade it 
that certain ActiveX controls are safe but I do see a lot of people 
complaining about IE behavior (in general, not macromedia.com-related). 
Perhaps you could d/l Firebird (http://www.mozilla.org/) and run that 
instead? It's a much better browser than IE and will continue to be 
worked on and updated (unlike IE6 for which SP1 seems to be the end of 
the line until Longhorn in two years).
