I have five instances of CFMX (various versions) running on Tomcat and JRun, all on my laptop. It's been pretty smooth sailing. One gotcha is that JRun won't run with the 1.4.1 JVM, you have to use the 1.3.1 JVM (although Tomcat happily uses the 1.4.1 JVM).
