If you're still looking for a book try Professional ASP. (WROX)
It's a bit dated now but as you're familiar to web development it should be exactly what you need. Once you're familiar with the core ASP objects there is not that much to learn other than VBscript as others have pointed out.(or jscript if you want to use that instead) You'll probably want an up to date reference similar to http://www.w3schools.com/vbscript/vbscript_ref_functions.asp Also this site... http://www.aspfaq.com/ is one of those great sites you go to when you want to know how to do x, y,z in ASP HTH Kola >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Oliver Cookson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> Sent: 28 May 2003 09:18 >> To: CF-Talk >> Subject: OT: Learn ASP? >> >> Hi, >> >> Sorry for the off-topic post but I have been thrown in the deep end and >> need to learn ASP for a project which will soon be landing on my desk, >> so I was hoping someone could recommend a book which teaches me the >> syntax and best practises in ASP. >> >> I can\have wrote code in CF, JSP & PHP so I am not looking for a book >> which includes general web programming skills just specific to ASP. >> >> Any thoughts would be great. >> >> Thanks. >> >> Oliver >> Certified Advanced CFMX Developer >> >> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Your ad could be here.
