I use 2 different styles counting if the message is for admin or public. Admin
puts the message into a form textarea for me to scroll through. Avoids having to
worry about formatting. For public, I translate all brackets into their extended
character set and print the message directly to the page. If you look at the
archive for this thread you'll see the difference between original post and
format:
