I have previously been running CF Pro 2 with O'Reilly's Website on Win98 on two machines, with no problems. Have now upgraded to new computer with Windows XP. Have installed Website with no problems, and it is working correctly.
Installed CF Pro 2, and used Administratior to test ODBC on the various databases, and verify confirmed in each case. However, when I click icon or file to open CF, there is a half-second pause, then nothing happens. CF does not open. Went back to the Administrator, clicked on the "Server" tab and immediately got a dialogue box with this message: "Unexpected Windows NT error number 997 occurred while attempting to determine the status of the 'Allaire Cold Fusion 2' service". Can anybody help?
